After a year, it was made free to the public under the GNU General Public License. In 2005, there was a controversy between the members of the coordination board of the Mambo Foundation. As a result, the Joomla appeared on August 17, 2005. It can be considered as a fork of Mambo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PHP must be higher than Version 5.3.10.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joomla has support for different kinds of databases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joomla also supports different web servers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hosted\/self-hosted<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Joomla is&nbsp;self-hosted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users can create websites for&nbsp;free, hosted on their own servers or on a Joomla subdomain.
